Work Location: On site – Erickson Health Centre (60 Queen Elizabeth Road, Erickson, MB R0J 0P0), Sandy Lake Nursing Home (106 1st Street, Sandy Lake, MB R0J 1X0). There is no option to work remotely.
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Anticipated Shift: Full Time, Days, Early Mornings, Mornings, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Weekends
Daily Hours Worked: Various hour shifts (30 to 40 hours per week)
Position Type: Independent Contractor
Wage Rate: Compensation is Independent Contractor as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desired.
Position Summary
Erickson Health Centre is a 9 bed transitional care and a 16 bed long term care facility. Services offered include Diagnostic, Home Care, Public Health, and Mental Health. Sandy Lake Nursing Home is a 35 bed long term care facility.
Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to join the Erickson Health Centre. Duties to include: performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, act as the primary care provider and provide continuous care toward the management of patients’ health.

Credentials
• The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree
• Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
• Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance

• Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
• Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
• Good work and attendance record

Additional Information
Security and safety:
• Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
• All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
